GODZILLA

I went out to my car the other day which was sitting in my driveway. I went to the driver side door, and before I reached for the door handle, I scared some big animal out of the bushes next to the car. I stared for moment as it jumped up on the porch of the neighbors house. It was this two foot long iguana.
Not a common sight outdoors in Michigan, which is in the northern United States. Not too many feral exotics around here.
So I watched him climb a tall bush near the porch, and I went on my way. I thought of trying to catch him, but I wouldnt know what to do with him once I did. I kind of regret not trying now, although I still wouldnt know what to do with it.
I came back a little while later, and looked around but did not see him in the bushes. Instead, he had climbed the roof of the house, and was perching on top of the chimney – enjoying some full spectrum afternoon rays.
He was gone a couple hours later.

Boa Constrictors in the Everglades, Iguanas in Detroit; that’s real diversity in America.

I don’t think these guys can handle US northern winters…maybe you can bait him in close, and grab’em. I know someone who had one (pet). They swim great!
